Audition Information

Auditions will be held at Pruis Hall on Wednesday, September 4th. Registration starts at 7pm and and the auditions will begin at 7:15pm. They will also be open, feel free to clap and cheer on all the auditionees! Rehearsals will be Tuesdays, Thursdays, and several Fridays from 7-10pm.

All roles in our cast are gender-bent, meaning you can audition for ANY role(s) you desire! Please look below for each role, the character descriptions, and video links to practice with. Your audition will be critiqued based off of characterization, film-accurate movements, facial expressions, and lip syncing.
​
You may audition for as many/few roles as you wish. Auditioning for a role does not guarantee that you will be offered that role, and you may be offered a role that you didn't audition for, based on the judgements of the Board.

Trixie and Roxy
(:Beginning-:55)
Trixie and Roxy are two characters that were created specifically for the shadow cast of the film. Their personalities differ completely. Trixie is the more level headed, older sister who is there to help tell the story and help support the other characters in the show. Roxy is the goofy, unfocused one who, unintentionally, seems to be trying to derail the show and mess up Trixie’s work.
The video shows the opening number, Science Fiction. We ask that you prepare some light choreography based off of the character descriptions given above. It can be anything you like just make sure that you know the lyrics.

Dancing Transylvanians
(2:30-3:00)
The chorus of the show-- the Transylvanians are the whimsical attendees of the Master's affairs (as Riff would put it). For the audition, you will dance in groups of 2-3. Choreo doesn't need to be perfect, add your own spin! What we are looking for: keeping time and a good stage presence!

Brad Majors*
(:Beginning-1:00)
Brad Majors is an all-American, conservative man who, with his fiancee, stumbles upon the Frankenstein Place.

Janet Weiss*

Janet represents the classical, conservative views of America, until she reaches her sexual awakening during her night at Dr. Frank N Furters.

The Criminologist

The narrator of the show, who describes the events of Brad and Janet and their night in the Frankenstein place.

Riff Raff

The hunchback-servant of Dr. Frank N Furter.

Magenta*
(1:22-1:56)
Another one of Frank’s Servants who comes to earth from Transylvania with her brother Riff Raff.

A groupie who is both Frank’s and Eddie’s girlfriend, lives in the Frankenstein place and has both a big personality with large sexual tendencies.

The leading lady himself, is a mad scientist whose main goal is to be able to create the perfect man.

Rocky*

Frank’s creation who is a blonde adonis. Throughout his short life span, he experiences some disturbing and exciting events.

Eddie*

A biker who gets involved with Frank and eventually Columbia. He is rough and tough, even with only half a brain.

Brad and Janet’s German science professor who also happens to be Eddy’s uncle.
