Audition Materials
Below are the materials that you will need to prepare for auditions. If you aren't sure who a character is, or what the role might entail, there is a description for every role.
For each character you are auditioning for (max 3), watch the videos at the timestamped times and prepare your audition!

Transylvanians

For the audition, you will dance in a group of other auditioners. Choreography does not need to be perfect, and it's alright if you don't know it. If you are wanting to learn it prior to the auditions, don't be afraid to ask someone to help you learn it! What matters most is that you just put your own spin on it. What we are truly looking for is your ability to keep time and a good stage presence!
The chorus of the show! Transylvanians are the whimsical party-goers of the Master's affairs (as Riff Raff would put it). This group of people are truly the life of the party when it comes to bringing this show to life. Each character is personally created by the individual playing the role.
Trixie & Roxy

The video shows the opening number, Science Fiction. For this audition, we ask that you come prepared with light choreography or improvised choreography based on the character descriptions below. We also ask that these lyrics are memorized
Trixie and Roxy are two characters that were created specifically for the Shadow Cast version of the film! Their personalities differ completely. Trixie is more level-headed older sister who is there to help tell the story. She supports the other characters and actions during the show. Roxy is a very goofy, unfocused little sister. She unintentionally seems to be trying to derail the show and mess up Trixie's hard work.
Eddie

For this audition, we are looking for film accuracy, memorization, and a fun spin on the character. We want to see you within Eddie as the character and the performance.
A biker who gets involved with Frank and eventually Columbia. He is rough and tough, even with only half a brain. He's quite the narcissist, but he has a certain edgy charm to him that just drives Columbia wild! The perfect princess track.
Dr. Scott

For the audition, we are looking for fun characterizations, film accuracy, and memorization. Your facials are SO important for Dr. Scott, as he only has his upper body to express anything he's feeling, so be big about your choices!
Dr. Scott is a German who used to be Brad and Janet's science professor. He also just so happens to be eerily connected to the Frankenstein Place, as he happens to be Eddie's uncle. He is on a mission to find Eddie and bring him home safely.
The Criminologist

For this audition, we ask that you are film accurate, memorized, and have your own spin on the character. This character must be comfortable wearing lingerie and engaging in suggestive scenes.
The narrator of our entire show! He describes the events of Brad and Janet's night in the Frankenstein Place. He is on stage the entire show, watching everything go down from the comfort of his desk.
Columbia

For this audition, we ask for film accuracy, memorization, and a unique take on this unique character! Columbia can be played in so many ways, and has been many times, so we want to see your interpretation of the character and the personality you give her. Tap and dance experience is preferred, but not required. Actor must be comfortable in lingerie
Columbia is a groupie who is both Frank-N-Furter's and Eddie's girlfriend. She has a larger than life personality. She often has some rather large sexual tendencies, adding onto her party-girl vibe.
Magenta

We are looking for film accuracy, memorization, and a fun twist! Bring yourself to this role! This actor must be comfortable wearing lingerie.
Another one of Frank's servants. Magenta and her incenstuous brother came to Earth from Transylvania along with Frank. She is a fierce and weird diva, who might just be in love with Columbia.
Riff Raff

For this audition, we are looking for film accuracy, memorization, characterization, and energy!
Riff Raff is the hunchbacked servant of Frank. The only thing that he thinks about is his sister, how much he hates Frank, and going home back to Transylvania. He varies his energy throughout the movie, but he is more often than not just a weird little balding guy.
Rocky

For this audition, we are looking for film accuracy, memorization, and the most caveman stupid you could possibly be. Bring life to this character with rocks for brains! This actor must be comfortable wearing gold briefs/underwear and engaging in suggestive scenes.
Rocky is Frank's creation. Blonde and hot. The perfect man! But we quickly realize he only has half a brain and it's not a great half to be working with. Through his 7 hours of life, he experiences a ton of disturbing, but also enjoyable, events.
Brad Majors

For this audition we are looking for film accuracy, memorization, and character choices. Brad has been played in so many different ways, so we want to see how you view him and the relationship between him and Janet. This actor must be comfortable wearing lingerie, wearing underwear on stage, and being in suggestive scenes.
Brad Majors is an all-American, conservative man who is recently engaged to Janet Weiss, even though he can barely remember how to say her last name properly. Him and his new fiancé happen to stumble across the Frankenstein Place after a mysterious flat tire. He has lived his whole life up until this night doing nothing but boring and mundane activities.
Janet Weiss

For this audition we are looking for memorization, film accuracy, and your spin on the character. This actor must be comfortable wearing lingerie, being in their underwear on stage, and being in suggestive scenes.
Janet Weiss represents a classic conservation all-American woman. After getting engaged to Brad Majors, everything is looking up in the world! But a rainy night and a flat tire lead her to her sexual awakening and her fun times with nearly everyone.
Dr. Frank-N-Furter

For this audition, we are looking for film accuracy, memorization, and CONFIDENCE! Work it girl! Frank is a larger than life individual, and we want to see that confidence on your face and in your performance. This actor must be comfortable wearing lingerie, wearing high heels for the majority of the show, and engaging in suggestive scenes.
Dr. Frank-N-Furter is an alien from Transylvania. The leading lady himself. He is a mad scientist, and his main goal is to create the perfect man using half of Eddie's brain. A fierce and confident diva, he runs the entire place like a Queen.
